At AISU private international school, we believe that the last day should be not just a formality, but a real holiday that will be remembered by every student. That is why we traditionally spend the last day at school as game days – Play Days! It was a day when the school corridors and courtyards were filled not with the usual noise of lessons, but with the cheerful noise of game competitions, laughter and team spirit.

This year’s Play Days were a great end to the school year, demonstrating that learning can be fun and learning can be fun. We have moved away from standard lessons, replacing them with a series of creative tasks designed to attract each student, unlock their potential and give them unforgettable emotions.

Students of all classes had creative tasks in various fields, which allowed each child to find themselves and show their strengths:

<figure class='photonic-pad-photos photonic-level-1 photonic-thumb' style='--dw: 640; Creative tasks in the Ukrainian language:

It was a real linguistic quest! Children took part in the” language detective story”, where they had to decipher secret messages using their knowledge of grammar and vocabulary of Ukrainian and English. There were tasks for creating mini-stories based on specified keywords, composing poems for speed, or game dictation, where instead of missing words you had to draw the corresponding pictures. Children could also take part in a tongue twister contest or “language Lotto”.

Develop vocabulary, grammar skills, creative thinking, and confidence in using the language in an informal setting.

2. Creative tasks in literature:

This block immersed students in the world of fantasy and creativity. Children could participate in competitions for the best dramatization of an excerpt from a famous fairy tale or story, create “live pictures” based on the works they read, or write alternative endings to familiar stories. There was also a “literary quiz” with questions about your favorite characters and authors, as well as tasks to create your own comics based on literary works.

Develop imagination, acting skills, deepen understanding of literary works and encourage a love of reading.

3. Creative tasks in sports:

Our Play Days could not do without activities that energize! These were not just sports competitions, but game relays with elements of logic and creativity. For example,” relay race with obstacles”, where you had to not only run, but also complete a certain task (solve a riddle, assemble a puzzle). There were also fun starts, flash mobs with dance moves, and team games that required not only speed, but also strategic thinking.

Development of physical endurance, coordination, team spirit, as well as the ability to quickly make decisions in dynamic conditions.

4. Creative tasks”for the smart”:

This block was a real challenge for young intellectuals. Tasks included logic puzzles, puzzles, spatial thinking tasks, quests with the search for “treasures” based on hints, encryption and decryption of codes. The children worked in teams, discussing solutions and demonstrating their analytical abilities.

Development of logical and analytical thinking, attention, memory, and the ability to quickly solve non-standard problems.

5. Creative tasks”for the creative”:

Here, children had complete freedom to express themselves. These were master classes on drawing with non-traditional techniques (drawing with fingers, stamps from vegetables), creating collages from various materials, designing from improvised means, musical improvisations, theatrical sketches without words or competitions for the best costume from “nothing”.

Stimulating the imagination, developing creative abilities, the ability to think outside the box and freely express your ideas.

Ice cream for Champions!

At the end of this busy day, when all the tasks were completed and emotions were off the scale, the most pleasant part came. The award was waiting for the winners, and it’s ice cream! Each child, regardless of whether they were in the winning team, or just actively participated, received their own portion of cold treats. After all, at AISU, we believe that the main thing is participation, joy from joint activities and positive emotions, and ice cream is a wonderful symbol of the sweet end of the year and a reward for your efforts.

The last day at AISU School, held in the Play Days format, was an unforgettable holiday of childhood, creativity and friendship. It was a day when every student felt like part of a large and friendly family, a day when learning turned into a real adventure, and memories of the school year remained bright and warm. We look forward to the next Play Days, because this is our favorite tradition!

How students spent their last days at AISU school

The Last Days of the school year at AISU school are always a special time, filled not only with anticipation of summer holidays, but also with vivid impressions of unusual, exciting events. We believe that the end of the year should be festive, memorable and emphasize our learning philosophy: at AISU, children do not just acquire knowledge, they learn easily and interestingly, they learn by playing, participating in various competitions and interactive activities. That is why traditionally the last days of training turn into an extravaganza of game days – Play Days, where each student becomes an active participant in the great holiday of knowledge and creativity.

Our Play Days are not just entertainment, it is a carefully designed program that allows children to consolidate their knowledge in an informal setting, develop creativity, logical thinking, team spirit and social skills. This is evidence that the educational process can be an exciting adventure, rather than a routine duty.

Advantages and features of spending the last days at AISU School:

1. Learning Through the prism of the game (Play-based Learning):

We turn the repetition of material and consolidation of knowledge into exciting games and quests. This helps children learn information better, as the process becomes fun rather than compulsive. Tasks integrate knowledge in various subjects, which develops a holistic vision of the world. For example, mathematical problems can be disguised as “treasure discovery codes”, and historical facts can be disguised as “time travel”.

Reduces stress from Final work, increases motivation, stimulates natural curiosity, promotes deeper memorization of material, develops creative thinking and the ability to apply knowledge in practice.

2. conducting game days for all classes:

The Last Days of training are devoted to large-scale game events, where each class or mixed teams from different classes participate in a variety of activities. These can be stations with creative tasks in Language, Literature, Sports, logic quests “for the quick-witted” and art workshops “for the creative”. Each station is designed to meet the age characteristics of students and at the same time offer an interesting challenge.

Creates a positive attitude to school, develops teamwork and leadership qualities, improves communication skills, gives each child the opportunity to express themselves in various fields, creates vivid and unforgettable memories of the school year.

3. Creative tasks by subject (examples):

Not just tests, but” language quizzes “in the format of TV shows, contests for the best mini-dialogue in English with elements of pantomime, games like” crocodile “with words from the learned vocabulary, creating”Language comics”.

Staging excerpts from your favorite books, creating collages for literary works, writing a “continuation” or “alternative ending” for familiar stories, contests for the best reader.

Relay races with elements of intellectual tasks (for example, “running with a cipher”, where you need to solve a puzzle at each stage), fun team games, sports quests for orientation in the school space.

Solving non-standard logical problems for time, participating in mathematical “battles”, puzzles with matches, riddles with a trick, games for the development of spatial thinking and memory.

Master classes on making crafts from recycled materials, creating musical instruments from improvised means, drawing contests on asphalt, creating short animated videos or designing a school space.

4. Value Awards and recognition:

We believe that efforts should be rewarded. While ice cream is waiting for the winners as a sweet and Favorite prize, we also expect other valuable forms of encouragement and recognition. These can be:

Memorable diplomas and certificates. For participation and winning in various categories, emphasizing individual achievements.

Books and educational games. For those who have demonstrated special knowledge or creativity.

School souvenirs with the AISU logo. Pens, notebooks, eco-bags that will be a pleasant memory of school.

Ability to select Activity on the next Play days. Winners can be granted “privileges” in choosing a topic or type of activity on future game days.

Motivates students to be active, forms the desire to win, develops healthy competition, gives them a sense of recognition and pride in their achievements.

5. Forming a positive attitude to school:

The Last Days spent in such a relaxed and joyful atmosphere leave children with only pleasant memories of school. This helps to relieve the accumulated fatigue of the year, reboot and look forward to the new school year.

Supports a high level of motivation to learn, promotes easy adaptation after the holidays, strengthens the student’s connection with school, creates a friendly and supportive atmosphere in the team.

At AISU, we strive to make every day spent at school valuable. And the last days are a bright end to the year, a demonstration of how easily and interestingly students learn and develop, gaining knowledge through play, creativity and the joy of communication. This is our way of saying “Thank you” to students for their hard work and inspiration, and inviting them to the next academic year with new strength and a positive attitude!

<figure class='photonic-pad-photos photonic-level-1 photonic-thumb' style='--dw: 640;
