Students of the 7th grade of the AISU private school plunged into the unique world of Taras Shevchenko’s poetry under the guidance of Ms. Irina. This lesson was not just a reading of poems, but a real journey into the history and soul of an outstanding Ukrainian writer.

The lesson began with students reciting excerpts and poems from “Kobzar”. Irina explained the context and history of writing each poem, revealing the depth of Shevchenko’s poetic skill. Children not only read, but also felt every word, tried to plunge into the times when the great poet lived and worked.

However, the greatest impression was made by Shevchenko’s works on students personally. Each student chose a poem that especially touched his heart. From that moment on, the lesson turned into an open discussion and mutual communication. Students shared their impressions of what they read, discussed the topics of works and tried to understand the relevance of Shevchenko’s poetry for the modern world.

A special decoration of the lesson was Roman Bilak’s own poem, which was inspired by the work of the great writer. His work has become a testament to how much Shevchenko’s poetry can impress and influence even now, in the new generation.

Within the walls of the AISU school we are proud that the great Ukrainian poet Taras Shevchenko is not only a symbol of the National Literary Heritage, but also an inexhaustible source of inspiration for our students. Although it may seem that time and space separate us from Shevchenko, his works still live among us, inspiring and teaching.

Imagine that the great Taras Grigoryevich visited our private school AISU. He, along with his students, would dive deep into the world of poetry and art. Let’s try to imagine this exciting moment when Shevchenko, United with young minds, would feel the pulse of our modern world through their eyes and words.

First of all, we would invite Shevchenko to take part in our literary classes. We would study and discuss his poems, analyze their content and depth. AISU students would have a great opportunity to express their thoughts and impressions of the great poet’s work.

And then, of course, Shevchenko would have to attend art classes with us. Here he would see our talented students recreate his paintings and create their own masterpieces. Art has always been an important part of the learning process at AISU, and we are sure that Shevchenko would feel at home here.

Of course, we couldn’t do without music. Shevchenko, who was a talented bard himself, would enjoy the performances of our musicians who would perform Ukrainian folk songs and melodies.

But the main thing that we would like to convey to Shevchenko is our respect and completeness of his work. He would see how his words not only sound, but are reflected in the hearts of the younger generation, prompting thoughts about justice, dignity and national consciousness.

Thus, despite time and space, Taras Shevchenko lives among us in AISU. His works have become a part of our educational process and a source of inspiration for the younger generation. May Shevchenko’s legacy always remain alive and relevant for all of us.
