We plant trees, plant bushes during the summer holidays
Great achievements from AISU students
AISU students impress with their humanity. Great achievements from AISU students. Nurtured by the ideals of true family values and tempered by understanding and friendship in the excellent school environment of AISU school. We want to help the whole world, but let’s start by planting trees and shrubs. We plant trees and shrubs during the summer holidays.
Students of the Private International School AISU in Kiev are not just gifted and purposeful young people. They impress with their humanity, deep understanding of the world and boundless desire to make it better. This generation, brought up on the ideals of true family values, is tempered by understanding and friendship in the excellent AISU school environment, which values not only academic knowledge, but also high moral qualities.
AISU students don’t just dream of change – they act. Their desire to help the whole world is sincere and ambitious, but they understand that great achievements start small. That’s why this summer their focus is on specific, meaningful steps: planting trees and shrubs.
Our summer holidays: time for “green” initiatives.
For AISU students summer holidays are not only a time of rest, but also an opportunity to actively participate in real changes. They understand that every tree planted is a contribution to clean air, preserving biodiversity, and creating a more comfortable environment for future generations. This initiative is not a one-off action; it is a conscious choice that reflects a deep understanding of environmental responsibility.
AISU students independently organize groups, attract their relatives and friends, and explore which types of trees and shrubs are best suited for Kiev’s soils and climate. They learn techniques for proper planting and caring for young seedlings, realizing that planting a tree is only half the battle; it is important to ensure its further growth and development. These “green” landings take place in parks, on the territory of schools, in the courtyards of residential buildings (with the consent of residents), turning each seedling into a living symbol of their care.
These summer initiatives are a clear testament to how the AISU school environment shapes holistic personalities. Children learn not only in classrooms, but also through practical actions. They understand that success is not only high marks, but also the ability to influence the world around them, to make it better. The friendship and mutual understanding that reigns within the walls of AISU become a solid foundation for these joint achievements. They learn to work in a team, help each other, overcome difficulties and see real results of their work.
Philosophy of energy compensation
For AISU students, their parents and educators, these “green” initiatives are deeply rooted in the philosophy of energy compensation. This is the understanding that our living world functions on the principle of exchange: if we take something from nature, we must give something in return. This is not just a rule, but a conscious need to maintain harmony and balance in the ecosystem and your own life.
This philosophy permeates everyday actions and encourages responsible decisions:
- Do you like to eat apples? Plant at least one apple tree somewhere. This is a simple but deep rule. If you enjoy the gifts of nature, you must make an effort to ensure that these gifts continue to exist. It may not necessarily be an apple tree – any fruit tree or shrub that will benefit.
- Do you like to swim in clear water and have fun on the beach? Then at least once remove the garbage on the beach from plastic or create a useful invention for cleaning nature. If you enjoy the benefits of nature, you must take care of their preservation. This can be a one-time cleaning, participation in environmental actions, or, for more creative minds, the development of technological solutions for cleaning the environment.
- Do you like to breathe clean air in the city and enjoy the shade of trees in the heat? Then join the planting of new trees in your yard, square or park. Support local landscaping initiatives or just plant a bush under the window. Your green action is pure breath for everyone.
- Do you like to listen to birdsong in the morning or watch squirrels in the park? Build and hang a bird feeder in winter and fill it regularly, or create a house for squirrels. Do not throw bread to the Ducks in the pond – it is better to bring them special mixed feed or grain. Take care of their comfort and safety.
- Do you like to eat bread, fruits and vegetables grown on the ground? Then support local farmers by buying their products. Learn about organic farming and, if possible, start growing something in your own garden or even on your balcony. This is respect for the work of the land.
- Do you like the convenience of single-use packaging and plastic items? Then consciously sort the garbage at home: plastic to plastic, paper to paper, glass to glass. Use reusable shopping bags, thermocups for drinks, and avoid disposable straws. Every item you recycle or don’t Buy won’t end up in a landfill and won’t decompose for centuries.
- Do you enjoy beautiful photos of nature and landscapes on social networks? Then do not just “like”, but also share information about environmental problems, join flash mobs in support of the environment. Use your digital platform to spread knowledge and inspire others to take eco-actions.
- Do you like to go hiking in the forest, relax on picnics? Then don’t leave any garbage behind – take everything you brought, and even more. Do not light bonfires in the wrong places, do not break branches. Be a guest who leaves only traces behind.
- Do you use paper for studying, drawing, or writing? Then collect waste paper and hand it over for recycling. Try using both sides of the sheet. Give preference to e-books and documents, if possible. This reduces deforestation.
- Do you dream of new technologies and scientific discoveries? Then think about how these technologies can be used for the good of nature – water purification, alternative energy sources, waste recycling. Perhaps you will become the inventor who will make a great contribution to “green” technologies.
- Do you enjoy the flowers and beauty of flower beds in the city? Then take part in the creation of such flower beds. Help me plant flowers, water them, and take care of them. This is your contribution to the aesthetics and biodiversity of urban space.AISU students understand that their actions are not only a manifestation of Good Will, but also a necessary condition for a sustainable future. They learn that every resource taken from nature must be compensated for through Care, Restoration, and innovation. This is not only about preserving the environment, but also about forming a deep philosophy of life, where harmony with the world around us is the key to personal well-being and prosperity of all mankind.
It is precisely these values and aspirations for great achievements that make AISU students not just graduates of a modern school, but real architects of a better future.
We plant trees, we plant bushes during the summer holidays
Summer holidays for students of the AISU private International School in Kiev are not just three months of rest and entertainment. This is a period when theoretical knowledge turns into practical actions, and caring for the future of the planet becomes an integral part of personal growth. AISU students are deeply aware of the importance of planting young trees, shrubs and seedlings, turning summer time into a period of great environmental achievements.
Why is tree planting more than just an environmental action?
For AISU schoolchildren, planting trees is not only a contribution to the landscaping of a city or district. This is a multi-faceted process that educates valuable qualities and forms a worldview:
- Awareness of environmental responsibility. Every tree planted is a reminder that we are part of a large ecosystem and have a responsibility to preserve it. Students understand that their actions have long-term consequences for the environment.
- Understanding the life and growth cycle. Watching a small seedling turn into a strong tree, children realize the value of time, patience and cyclical natural processes. It teaches them to see the future and think about the future.
- Practical application of knowledge. Students put into practice their knowledge of biology, ecology, and geography, understanding how soil, water, sunlight, and air affect plant growth.
- Development of teamwork and leadership skills. Often, tree planting takes place as part of Group actions. It teaches collaboration, sharing responsibilities, and gives you the opportunity to show leadership skills by organizing the process.
- Emotional connection with nature. Physical labor in the fresh air, contact with the ground and plants forms a deeper, emotional connection with nature, which is important for psychological well-being.
- Forming a sense of self-importance. Realizing that their actions bring real benefits to society and the planet gives students a sense of significance and pride in their work.
How do AISU students organize their “green” holidays?
AISU students approach summer gardening with all responsibility and enthusiasm. Their initiatives can be diverse:
- School environmental projects. At the end of the school year, the AISU environmental club develops an action plan for the summer. This can be planting new trees on the school grounds, in neighboring parks or squares by prior agreement with local authorities. Students learn which types of trees and shrubs are best suited to the local climate and soil.
- Family “Green” weekend. Many students involve their parents and other family members in planting trees in dachas, gardens, or courtyards of their own homes. This is becoming a great family tradition.
- Volunteering in local environmental initiatives. Some students join existing environmental organizations or social movements that are engaged in landscaping the city. This gives you the opportunity to work side by side with like-minded people and gain new experience.
- Creating “green” corners in courtyards. With the consent of residents, students can start planting shrubs or creating small flowerbeds in their yards, turning gray areas into pleasant oases.
- “The Tree of my dreams”. Some students may plant “their” tree, which will symbolize their dreams and goals for the future. By caring for it, they will see how not only the tree grows, but also their own ambitions.
- Monitoring and care. It is important not only to plant, but also to ensure further care of seedlings. AISU students understand this and organize regular watering, weeding, and protection of young plants.
Long-term impact and philosophy of the AISU School:
AISU Private International School educates its students in the spirit of Global Citizenship and responsibility. Participation in initiatives such as tree planting is a reflection of this philosophy. We strive to ensure that our graduates are not only highly educated professionals, but also conscious citizens who understand the relationship between man and nature, and are able to take real steps to improve the world.
Every planted tree, every bush is not just about oxygen, shade and beauty. It is an investment in a healthy future, a living symbol of hope and proof that the actions of one person, and even more so the entire community, can make a huge difference. AISU students understand that by planting trees today, they cherish a better world for themselves and future generations. And this is really a time of great achievements that change not only the landscape, but also consciousness.
